What? FDC needs you at our Annual Meeting and Potluck
When? Sunday, March 20th, 4 p.m. to 6:15 p.m.
Where? The School building of the St. John Baptist Church, St., 28 Saint Peter St. in Salem.
This year, for the first time, we’ll be enjoying a bread and cheese tasting, with bread from our two bread bakers, A&J King and Iggy’s Bread of the World, and cheese from some of our favorite local cheesemakers! And everyone who attends the meeting will be entered in a drawing for a FREE BREAD SHARE!
So make sure you mark your calendar for Sunday, March 20th and plan to attend our annual potluck/business meeting. According to the bylaws of our organization, we need 12.5% of our membership present at our annual meeting for voting purposes. This year, that translates to upwards of 60 families (one voting member per family).
In addition to voting in our new board of directors — an important function of your membership in the Coop–the meeting brings together members, the Board of Directors and Staff from all locations to share some tasty food, recap last year, and to share our plans, financial and otherwise, for the upcoming season. A question and answer session will also fill you in on anything you may be wondering about.
For the potluck:
If your last name begins with A-M, please bring a main course
Last names N- R should bring appetizers
And last names S – Z should bring a dessert.
The meeting will be held in the same location as last year: the School building of the St. John Baptist Church, St., 28 Saint Peter St. in Salem.
Fulfill your two-hour volunteer commitment early this year and help with the meeting! Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, clean up , take pictures and to organize some activities to keep the kids busy. If you would like to volunteer, contact Julie, Julie@farmdirectcoop.org.
